Taking place from 24-26 October and 30 October-1 November, between 10am and 3pm, the Great British Braid Off invites visitors to take part in a community crafting project inspired by the skills of our prehistoric ancestors.

Families can help create a special braided rug using woven rushes, which will become a permanent feature inside the new Neolithic Hall.

There will also be opportunities for children and adults to try traditional crafts, including making cordage bracelets and pinch pots to take home.

The activities offer visitors their first chance to step inside the Kusuma Neolithic Hall, the largest-ever replica of a prehistoric building. Constructed entirely by volunteers using authentic Neolithic tools, the hall offers an insight into the gathering spaces used by people thousands of years ago.

Halloween fun at the Great Pumpkin Party

Running from 17 October to 1 November, Stonehenge’s Great Pumpkin Party promises seasonal entertainment for families throughout the school holidays.
