Children can build their confidence in the water this October half term with a series of swimming intensives from Bath and Radstock swim school Mighty Splash.
Taking place at Fosse Way School in Radstock from Monday 26 to Wednesday 28 October, the three-day courses combine swimming skills, technique development, confidence-building and games. The small-group sessions are designed to help children make faster progress than they might during their regular weekly lessons.
A block of three lessons costs £18, with beginner intensives running from 3pm-3.30pm each day and improver sessions from 3.30pm-4pm.
Beginners’ sessions are aimed at children who are new to the water or still building confidence, while the improvers’ sessions are suitable for those looking to refine their technique and move on to the next level.
“Half term is a brilliant chance for children to really focus on their swimming without the pressure of the school week,” said Mighty Splash founder and CEO Kelly Deakin. “Our intensives are small, fun and focused, so children build confidence and skills quickly and leave the pool proud of what they’ve achieved.”
Halloween family swim
Families can also get into the Halloween spirit with special swimming sessions at Fosse Way School on Sunday 1 November. A SEN Halloween family swim will take place at 9am, followed by family swim sessions at 10am and 11am.
The sessions offer families the chance to enjoy the warm pool together in a relaxed setting, with free parking available at the school.
Regular swimming lessons
Mighty Splash has also reduced the price of its regular swimming classes at Fosse Way School to £45 per month. Families interested in joining can book a free, no-obligation trial swim, while Mighty Splash members also receive free family swims at its locations at Fosse Way School, Downside School in Radstock and Prior Park College in Bath.
Founded in 2012, Mighty Splash provides swimming lessons for children and adults, alongside SEN swimming sessions, private lessons and hydrotherapy at Fosse Way School.
“We want swimming to be something the whole family can enjoy together,” added Kelly. “With our half-term intensives, Halloween family swim and classes at Fosse Way School now just £45 a month, we can’t wait to welcome everyone to the pool.”
