Little Willows Day Nursery in Bath celebrates positive Ofsted report

Little Willows Nursery is celebrating a positive Ofsted report, with inspectors praising children's progress, wellbeing and inclusive culture.

Little Willows Day Nursery is celebrating a positive Ofsted inspection outcome, with inspectors recognising the warm, inclusive environment created for children and the strong progress they make in their early years.

The nursery achieved the expected standard across many areas, with only one aspect identified for further development relating to transitions around garden time.

Inspectors praised the quality of care and education provided by the team, noting that ‘children make progress from their starting points because they secure the foundational knowledge they need for later learning’.

The report also highlighted the nurturing relationships between staff and children, stating that ‘children benefit from warm and respectful relationships with staff, who model kindness consistently’ and that ‘children enjoy positive and playful relationships with staff’.

Ofsted further recognised the nursery’s commitment to inclusion, commenting that ‘leaders have created an inclusive culture, where children are known, valued and celebrated as individuals’.

Inspectors also praised the wider experiences available to children, noting that regular visits to the local theatre, library and park help to broaden their understanding of the world and deepen their curiosity.

Ellie Ferne, Nursery Manager at Little Willows, said, “We were delighted with the outcome of the inspection. This result reflects the dedication and commitment of our entire nursery team, who I am so proud of.

“We are incredibly proud of our staff, who have worked tirelessly to ensure that Personal, Social and Emotional Development is firmly embedded throughout our curriculum, while continuing to maintain high standards of care and support for every child attending the nursery.”

The report also highlighted the attentiveness of the nursery team, with inspectors stating that “staff are attentive to children’s care needs and meet these swiftly”.

Little Willows currently has spaces available for toddlers and pre-schoolers aged 2-4 years. Families interested in finding out more about the nursery are encouraged to get in touch with the team directly.
