Free family swims and water safety sessions offered during Drowning Prevention Week

Mighty Splash

Families are being invited to enjoy free swimming sessions and learn vital water safety skills during Drowning Prevention Week at Mighty Splash.

The swim school is offering free public swim sessions at Fosse Way School from 15 to 21 June as part of a campaign to help children and families stay safer around water this summer.

Families can enjoy free swimming sessions and water safety instruction at Mighty Splash during Drowning Prevention Week from 15 to 21 June.

All family swim sessions during the week can be booked free of charge using the code SAFESUMMER26 when booking online.

As well as free access to the pool, swimmers will receive water safety instruction as part of their session. The initiative aims to raise awareness of the risks around water and give children practical skills that could help keep them safe.

Mighty Splash says the sessions are designed to be both fun and educational, helping families build confidence in and around the water ahead of the summer holidays.

Drowning Prevention Week is a national campaign focused on reducing the number of accidental drownings by encouraging people of all ages to understand water safety and develop lifesaving knowledge.

Places for the free sessions can be booked through the Mighty Splash website.
