Wiltshire College & University Centre has welcomed more than 3,300 prospective students, parents and carers to its open events this year, as applications for September 2026 continue to rise.
The events, held across the College’s campuses in Chippenham, Lackham, Salisbury and Trowbridge, gave visitors the opportunity to explore courses, meet staff and students and learn more about life at the College.
Feedback highlighted the welcoming atmosphere, supportive staff and wide range of opportunities available, with many attendees saying they had already applied or planned to submit an application following their visit.
Visitors to the Salisbury campus praised the variety of courses and opportunities on offer, while those attending Chippenham spoke positively about the support they received from lecturers and staff.
At Trowbridge, parents highlighted the friendly and approachable environment, while visitors to Lackham praised the beautiful campus and the chance to gain a clear understanding of the different courses available.
Dave West, Executive Director of Growth and Engagement at Wiltshire College & University Centre, said, “Choosing your next step is a big decision for any young person and their family, so it’s fantastic to see so many people engaging with our open events this year.
“What really stands out from the feedback is how welcomed and supported visitors felt when they came onto our campuses. Our staff and students work incredibly hard to create an environment where people feel confident, inspired and excited about their future, and it’s great to see that reflected in both the feedback and the rise in applications across the College.”
