Pupils at Marksbury Church of England Primary School near Bath are welcoming a new headteacher, Amanda Trim.
Mrs Trim joined the school this term, bringing with her 23 years of experience in education. She was previously a senior leader at Weston All Saints Primary School in Bath.
Marksbury is a village school located seven miles south of Bath and five miles from Keynsham. It is part of The Partnership Trust, a multi-academy trust supporting primary, first and special schools across Bath and Somerset.
Speaking about her new role, Amanda said, “I have had a wonderful start to my new role as headteacher at Marksbury school. The children, staff and parents have all been incredibly welcoming, and I feel very fortunate to be part of such a warm and supportive school community.
“I am looking forward to working together to continue building on the fantastic experiences already offered at the school.”
Amanda’s appointment marks a new chapter for the school, while keeping strong links within the Trust. Her previous school, Weston All Saints Primary School, is also part of The Partnership Trust.
Emily Massey, CEO of The Partnership Trust, said, “Congratulations to Amanda on her appointment as headteacher at Marksbury. We’re delighted to see her progress her career within the Trust.
“She’ll be missed at Weston All Saints, but as Amanda is staying within the Trust’s family of schools this is only ‘au revoir’ and not ‘goodbye’.”
The school community will now be looking ahead to the future under Amanda’s leadership as she builds on the experiences already on offer for pupils at the village school.
