Hardenhuish School students honoured with Chippenham civic awards

Hardenhuish School Parliament and student Anisia Rusu win Chippenham Community Civic Awards 2026 for outstanding charity work and volunteering.

Hardenhuish School has celebrated a double success after its School Parliament and Year 11 student Anisia Rusu were both recognised at the Chippenham Town Council Community Civic Awards 2026.

Hardenhuish School Parliament received its award for outstanding student-led initiatives and charitable work across the community.

Over the past year, students have raised significant funds for The RISE Trust and the Hardenhuish Educational Trust, while also organising collections of hygiene products for Re:Fresh, breakfast items for The RISE Trust and food donations for St Peter’s Church FoodBox project.

The group has also supported a range of student-led initiatives, including The Great Hardenhuish Reading Challenge, and played a leading role in key events such as UK Parliament Week and Charity Week. Through these activities, School Parliament has helped strengthen participation and encourage active citizenship among pupils.
