Families at Westbury Junior School will be able to access practical support, advice, training and guidance through a new Family Hub launched by the school.
The WJS Family Hub has been created to give parents and carers a welcoming place to find help with everything from parenting and children’s learning to wellbeing, SEND and financial concerns.

A programme of activities will run throughout the year, including parenting workshops, wellbeing sessions, SEND support, online safety advice, financial guidance, family learning opportunities and coffee mornings.
The hub will also help families find appropriate local services and support, bringing information and resources together in one place to make them easier to access.

Headteacher Lindsay Clough said, “At Westbury Junior School, we know that children achieve their very best when families and schools work together. The WJS Family Hub reflects our commitment to supporting not only our pupils but their families too. Whether parents are looking for practical advice, opportunities to learn new skills, or simply a friendly face and someone to talk to, we want every family to know that they are welcome and supported here.”
Sessions will be delivered by school staff alongside external professionals and partner organisations, with the programme continuing to develop in response to feedback from parents and carers.

The initiative forms part of the school’s wider work to support children’s wellbeing, strengthen relationships with families and remove barriers that can affect learning.
Parents and carers can find details of forthcoming Family Hub events, workshops and support through the Westbury Junior School website, school newsletters and Arbor communications.
