Pound Arts in Corsham is continuing its busy programme of creative family activities this week, with a range of events designed to entertain babies, preschool children and home educated youngsters.
Pound Arts is hosting a series of family-friendly events this week, including messy preschool art sessions, a relaxed Baby Book Club and a creative art class for home educated children.
Tuesday 19 May, 9.30am — Baby Book Club
Baby Book Club offers a friendly and informal play session for babies and toddlers, with books, a ball pit and hot drinks for parents and carers. The weekly session is led by Helen Dilley and gives local families the chance to relax and meet others in the area.
Wednesday 20 May — Tiny Artists
Tiny Artists invites preschool children to get creative with cutting, sticking, splatting and painting inspired by stories. The hands-on art session encourages little ones to explore different materials and make their own mini masterpieces, with parents advised to dress children in clothes they do not mind getting messy.
Friday — Home Ed Art Class
Families with home educated children can also take part in the Home Ed Art Class, where resident artist Laura will guide children aged six and above through a range of creative techniques and materials. The monthly class is designed to help children develop confidence and creativity while meeting other young artists.
The sessions are part of a wider programme of events at Pound Arts designed to encourage creativity and community for local families.
