Families across the Bath region are being invited to step right up for a day of colour, creativity and circus magic as the Paddock Circus Festival returns to Beckford’s Tower this summer.
Taking place on Sunday 19 July 2026 from 11am to 6pm, the festival promises a packed programme of performances, workshops and outdoor entertainment set against the stunning backdrop of the Grotto Paddock.

At the heart of the day is Circus Pazaz, headlining inside their ‘Little Big Top’ tent with two high-energy, family-friendly shows featuring aerial acrobatics, juggling, hula-hooping and plenty of audience interaction.
Joining them is Darryl Carrington, whose Out of the Box show blends physical comedy and gentle clowning to turn everyday objects into moments of surprise and laughter, all without words.

Rounding off the line-up, Cat & Mouse Theatre present Stand and Deliver, an interactive and humorous courtroom adventure that draws audiences into the action while exploring thought-provoking themes.
Netty Miles, Events Coordinator at Bath Preservation Trust, said, “We are so excited to be hosting a fantastic day of circus and theatre performance led by Circus Pazaz and supporting artists!
“Their high-energy shows combine aerial acrobatics, juggling, hula-hooping and witty ringmasters, alongside workshops and live music. Fun for all ages, it’s the perfect day out for couples, individuals, families and groups of friends.”

Alongside the performances, visitors can try their hand at circus skills workshops led by Circus Pazaz, with sessions running throughout the day.
Food and drink will be available on site, including locally made ice creams and a range of hot and cold refreshments, while families are also welcome to bring picnics and blankets to make a full day of it.
As an added bonus, ticket holders can enjoy half-price entry to Beckford’s Tower and Museum on the day.
