Pupils, parents and staff at Bathampton Primary School came together for a vibrant afternoon of fun as the school hosted its first ever Colour Run.
The event, held on Friday 27 March, transformed the school field into a lively celebration of colour, laughter and community spirit, with more than 100 children taking part.

Organised by the Friends of Bathampton School (PTA), the fundraiser saw children dressed in white T-shirts and goggles take on an obstacle course while being showered in clouds of bright blue, pink, yellow and green powder.
Adding a special touch to the day, Amy Williams, gold medallist at the 2010 Winter Olympics and a parent at the school, led an energetic warm-up to get everyone ready for the run.

The atmosphere throughout the afternoon was joyful and energetic, with families and staff cheering on the runners and embracing the colourful chaos.
Headteacher Komilla Datta said, “The huge smiles all around showed the impact of our event – it brought together all the staff, pupils and parents. Every penny is going directly back to supporting the pupils.”
A special thank you was given to Camella Estate Agents, who generously sponsored the T-shirts for the event.
As the afternoon came to a close, children proudly compared their paint-splattered tops, each one a colourful reminder of a memorable day.
