A new brain health clinic in Bath is helping adults reduce their risk of dementia with personalised assessments and expert support.

The service is now open and offers a personalised, evidence-based approach to improving brain health, grounded in the latest international research.

Helping people protect their brain health earlier in life

Research shows that dementia is not an inevitable part of ageing. The 2024 Lancet Commission on Dementia Prevention identified 14 modifiable risk factors which, if addressed, could prevent or delay almost half of dementia cases worldwide.

ReMind UK’s new clinic aims to help people act earlier by offering a clear picture of their current brain health and practical guidance on how to improve it.

What happens at the Brain Health Clinic?

Each 1 hour 15 minute appointment includes:

  • A pre-appointment health and lifestyle questionnaire

  • Neuropsychological testing to assess cognition and mood

  • A detailed consultation to identify personal risk factors

  • A tailored Brain Health Prescription with practical lifestyle recommendations

  • A summary report shared with the patient’s GP to support ongoing care

The clinic is led by specialist clinicians with expertise in memory and cognitive health.

Expert insight from ReMind UK

Dr Lorraine Courcier, Specialist Memory Physician at ReMind UK, said, “People often think memory problems are something to worry about later in life, but the science is clear – brain health is shaped across decades. This clinic gives people the opportunity to understand their personal risk and take positive, manageable steps to protect their brain health for the future.”

Bath resident Debbie Kendall, who attended the pilot clinic, described the experience as empowering.

“The clinic was a valuable opportunity for a thorough brain health MOT,” she said. “It helped me make small, realistic changes without completely overhauling my lifestyle, and gave me a much more positive outlook on my health.”

Special launch offer

To mark the launch of the Brain Health Clinic, ReMind UK is offering £50 off all appointments booked in January and February 2026.
