With my daughter home from university – and after months of living in a very male-dominated household – the chance for some proper mum-and-daughter time felt long overdue. A pamper session at Glow with Pippa in Newbridge was exactly what we needed.
From the moment we arrived at Pippa’s beautiful, spotless home salon, we felt completely welcome and relaxed. We quickly found we had lots in common, both being busy mums of three, and it was lovely to chat so easily.
Pippa has over five years’ experience as a qualified beauty technician and offers a range of treatments, from lash extensions and lash lifts to spray tans. She works both from her home salon and in clients’ homes, depending on what suits best.
I chose a Korean lash lift and tint, which uses a gentler system but gives amazing lift, especially if, like me, you have fine lashes. The treatment took about an hour, was completely comfortable, and the results should last four to six weeks.
My daughter Annabelle had hybrid lash extensions, where individual extensions are added to each natural lash for a fuller, more dramatic look. Her appointment took around two hours and she loved every moment – no discomfort at all. Her lashes should last three to four weeks before she goes back for infills.
Even though our treatments were done separately, it still felt like a shared experience. Pippa talked us through everything, gave clear aftercare advice, and made it easy to ask questions. We also left with a lovely goodie bag each, including a cleanser and brushes to help keep our lashes looking their best.
We both left feeling pampered, refreshed and really pleased with our results. We’re already planning our next visit.
