Families across Bath can look forward to an incredible line-up at The Forum this season, with shows and concerts for every age group — from children’s favourites and festive films to spectacular music and comedy.
A major highlight for young readers will be Diary of a Wimpy Kid Live with author Jeff Kinney. His interactive event brings the world of Greg Heffley to life with stories, drawings and audience participation. It’s a must for fans of the books and a rare chance to meet the man behind one of the most popular children’s series of all time.
Also returning to the stage is Tom Gates Live on Stage, packed with music, doodles and the everyday chaos of school life. Based on Liz Pichon’s bestselling books, it’s bright, funny and perfect for children aged 6–12 who love to laugh and join in.
For those who enjoy science with a bang, Ministry of Science Live delivers exactly that. Expect loud bangs, bright lights and huge clouds of vapour as the team explore the wonders of invention and discovery in a high-energy, family-friendly show.
As Christmas approaches, The Forum becomes one of the most festive venues in Bath, hosting a full programme of films, concerts and seasonal celebrations. Families can snuggle up to watch The Muppets Christmas Carol and The Polar Express on the big screen, each accompanied by live orchestras that bring every note to life. The classic Love Actually in Concert offers a romantic treat for parents and carers, combining the beloved film with a full orchestral score.
There’s more festive music with Step Into Christmas, a joyful live concert of seasonal hits and singalong favourites guaranteed to get everyone in the holiday mood. The Royal Marines Christmas Spectacular brings a different kind of festive energy with brilliant musicianship and a touch of ceremony, while The Snowman with Live Orchestra remains one of the most magical family traditions in Bath’s Christmas calendar.
Those who enjoy a more nostalgic night out can revisit an iconic film with a screening of Labyrinth, the 1986 fantasy classic starring David Bowie. It’s the perfect mix of retro fun and family appeal — and an ideal chance to introduce a new generation to a cult favourite.
For adults looking for a smart, funny evening, Simon Amstell and Co: Live at Christmas offers sharp comedy and brilliantly observed reflections on modern life.
From dazzling children’s theatre and festive films to big-name music and stand-up, The Forum’s winter season offers something for everyone. It’s the perfect excuse to gather family or friends, head into Bath and enjoy some unforgettable live entertainment.
