Bradford on Avon’s Christmas Lights Switch On returns on Friday 28 November from 4pm to 8pm in Westbury Garden, sponsored by BLB Solicitors.
Families can look forward to live music, festive stalls, a fairground and the big countdown moment led by the Mayor, Councillor Jack Vittles, at 6pm.

“The Christmas Lights Switch On is always one of the highlights of the year and it’s a great example of where the whole town comes out to support our amazing community,” said Jack. “I’d really urge people to join us and take some time to visit our great local shops and restaurants during the evening.”
Right after the lights go on at 6.01pm, Karport Collective will perform in Westbury Garden until 8pm to keep the celebration going.

In the run-up to the event, the town centre will be decorated with Christmas trees across key locations. Westbury Garden’s main tree is sponsored by the Bradford on Avon Lions Club, with additional trees at the Tithe Barn, the railway station and the Giving Tree in Lamb Yard.
There will be fairground rides in the library car park on Bridge Street, while St Margaret’s car park will host food and drink stalls. Gift stalls will also be set up in Westbury Garden for those looking to start their Christmas shopping early.
The Tourist Information Centre will stay open until 8pm for anyone wanting to pick up Cards for Good Causes Christmas cards. Santa will also be waiting there in his travelling grotto from 5pm to 8pm.
Families visiting Lamb Yard will find more live music, artisan stalls and the Giving Tree, now in its eleventh year.
Many of the town’s independent shops will be open for late-night shopping, offering a chance to support local businesses while soaking up the festive atmosphere.
