Families across Bath & North East Somerset are once again being invited to make use of Warm Spaces — welcoming venues across the area offering warmth, company and support throughout the colder months.
Now in its fourth year, the Warm Spaces scheme has relaunched for Autumn/Winter 2025–26, with dozens of community venues listed on the Livewell B&NES website. Each space provides a warm, friendly environment where residents can relax, meet others and access useful facilities.

Depending on the venue, families can enjoy free refreshments, WiFi, books and magazines, baby changing facilities, children’s toys, and information or advice services. Many also host free or low-cost activities, making them a valuable resource for parents and carers looking to connect with others while keeping children entertained.
A handy online map helps residents find their nearest Warm Space, from libraries and community centres to churches and cafes.
The initiative aims to ensure that no one in Bath & North East Somerset feels isolated or cold this winter — especially families balancing rising household costs. By creating welcoming community hubs, Warm Spaces not only provide practical help but also strengthen local connections.
Organisations that offer a warm and inclusive environment are encouraged to join the scheme. Registration is free, quick and open to all eligible venues (private homes are not included).
