Pupils at Stonar Prep were treated to an inspiring visit from award-winning author Phil Earle, who shared his journey as a writer and the stories behind his much-loved books.
Children from Years 5 to 8 gathered in the Prep Hall to hear Phil talk about his life, his creative process and the power of imagination. He spoke about how reading and storytelling can open doors to new worlds and possibilities, encouraging pupils to explore their own creativity.
Throughout the session, pupils were thoroughly engaged, asking thoughtful questions and discussing their own ideas about books and writing. It was a rare opportunity to learn directly from a published author and to gain an insight into the craft of storytelling.
Phil’s visit sparked great enthusiasm among young readers and writers across the school, with many leaving the hall inspired to write their own stories. Stonar Prep thanked Phil for spending the day with pupils and for encouraging them to develop their love of reading and literature.
