Wansbroughs has expanded its family law services with the appointment of Kate Scammell as partner and team leader of the firm’s newly established Family and Divorce team.
Kate brings more than 20 years of experience in family law, specialising in complex financial settlements, cases involving large pensions, business assets and property held abroad. A collaborative lawyer and member of Resolution, she is committed to helping families resolve matters constructively and move forward positively after separation.
Joining Kate is solicitor Hannah McMullen, who qualified in 2023 and has already built strong expertise across a range of family law matters. Hannah also shares a Resolution approach, focused on reducing conflict and reaching practical outcomes for families.
The two new appointments mean Wansbroughs, which has offices in Wiltshire and London, will now have dedicated Family and Divorce and Children teams, led respectively by Kate Scammell and Naomi Owen. The move reflects growing demand from families for clear and compassionate legal advice during times of change.
Co-Managing Partner Anna Wensley Stock said, “Kate and Hannah are outstanding additions to Wansbroughs. This is a significant step forward in our family law offering, and we’re confident that Kate’s experience and leadership will have a powerful and positive impact.”
Kate added, “I’ve been made to feel incredibly welcome by everyone at Wansbroughs. The firm has a strong reputation for client care and I’m excited to build on that as we grow and support more families across the region.”
