Purple Elephant Family Support, the local charity behind the popular Frome Children’s Festival, is inviting families of all ages to take part in its first Family Quiz Night. The event takes place on Friday 10 October in the main hall at Frome College, running from 5.30–7pm.
The evening promises plenty of fun for everyone, with quiz rounds for all ages, prizes for the winning team and even a ‘wooden spoon’ for those who finish last. There will also be games to enjoy between rounds, toys for younger children, a raffle and refreshments available to buy.
Sue Willis, Service Manager at Purple Elephant, said, “We try to ensure most of what we do is about the family having fun together, so our first fundraising Quiz Night is no exception. It will start at 5.30pm, so no need for a babysitter as this evening is open to all to come along.”
Teams of up to six people can take part for £10 per team, payable on the door. Families are encouraged to register in advance by emailing email hidden; JavaScript is required, although walk-ins will also be welcomed. All proceeds will go towards Purple Elephant’s year-round services, which include holiday activities, parent support, a youth club and befriending projects.
