Wiltshire Council invites families to SENDFEST – a celebration of inclusion, creativity and community

Sendfest

Wiltshire Council is inviting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and their families to SENDFEST on Saturday 20 September.

SENDFEST will take place at the Wiltshire Music Centre in Bradford-on-Avon from 10am to 6pm. The special one-day festival has an emphasis on fun, creativity, and community.

The day, which is designed especially for young people with SEND, will be packed with activities including archery, face painting, crafts, a silent disco, live music and performances. There will also be a calm sensory space, chill-out areas and refreshments available.

Families will have the opportunity to chat with council staff and local organisations about SEND support. There will also be chances to share ideas on how to improve SEND services in Wiltshire.

Wiltshire Council is keen for schools and families to come along. People can attend as a group or individually.

Cllr Jon Hubbard, Cabinet Member for Children’s Services, Education and Skills, said, “SENDFEST is a celebration of inclusion, creativity and joy. I’m proud we’re offering young people with SEND and their families a day to connect, have fun, and help shape the future of SEND services in Wiltshire.”

Spaces are limited, so SEND families are asked to secure their SENDFEST ticket on Eventbrite – SENDFest Tickets, Sat 20 Sep 2025 at 10:00 | Eventbrite

Once signed up, Wiltshire Council will send more details about how to join in with the activities.

Schools who may want to bring a group of students, especially where parents can’t attend, can email email hidden; JavaScript is required.
