It’s the middle of August, and for many families that means one thing — back to school prep. If school shoes are still on your to-do list, then CeCe & Me Bath has just what you need.
Lucy, the owner of CeCe & Me Bath, has been running a mobile shoe shop for small children, offering fittings at family-friendly pop-ups and home visits, including an impressive range of school shoes.

School shoes that fit
Lucy has curated a range of school shoes in sizes 7.5–1 UK (25–33 EU) from trusted brands including Bobux, Ricosta, Froddo and Camper, alongside Hummel trainers and Grass + Air wellies.
Drop ins are welcome, but appointments encouraged to secure your spot to make sure every child has time for a full measurement and fitting. “Kids spend up to 40 hours a week in their school shoes, so it’s really important they fit well,” says Lucy. “The right pair will support healthy foot development and help children feel comfortable and confident at school.”

Her top tips for parents buying school shoes now:
- Don’t leave it too late – sizes and styles can sell out quickly.
- Bring school socks to the fitting.
- Always measure both feet – they’re often slightly different sizes.
- Avoid buying shoes to ‘grow into’ – they won’t hold the foot securely.
- Look for durable designs with reinforcements at the toes.
- Let children wear them around the house before term starts.
Lucy also advises checking fit at least once a term, as children’s feet can grow suddenly.
