Chippenham-based tutoring company Osmond Education has been recognised on the national stage after its founder, Helen Osmond, was named runner-up in the Professional Tutor of the Year category at the 2025 National Tutoring Awards.
The awards, hosted by The Tutors’ Association and held in London on 4 July, celebrate the very best in UK tutoring. Helen stood out for her exceptional work supporting GCSE and A-Level maths students — not only in helping them improve their academic performance but also in tackling anxiety and building lasting confidence.

“I am thrilled to have received this award,” said Helen. “Maths doesn’t have to be scary for students. It’s about making it relevant and engaging, and creating a supportive space where they can build their confidence and believe in their ability to succeed.”
Helen’s calm, structured approach focuses on breaking down complex topics into manageable steps, spotting gaps in understanding, and helping students build the tools they need to work independently. Sessions are designed to reduce exam overwhelm while steadily growing skills and self-belief.
What began as Helen’s solo tutoring venture has now grown into Osmond Education, a team of specialist tutors who support families across the UK and internationally. Parents frequently praise the team’s calm, confidence-building style and tailored support, which has helped students reach goals they once thought were out of reach.
With five-star reviews and heartfelt testimonials continuing to pour in, this national recognition highlights the powerful impact Helen and her team are making on students’ academic journeys — and their confidence — one lesson at a time.
