Moorlands Schools Federation in Bath is looking forward to celebrating the 75th anniversary of both Moorlands Infant School and Moorlands Junior School being opened. The celebrations, which will take place in June 2025, will include a party for all the current Moorlands families, a curriculum focus for the children about the different decades and a 75th birthday party for 75 special guests from different points in the school’s history.
As part of the celebrations, the Moorlands PTA is leading efforts to raise £7,500 for the school, which will go towards enhancing the children’s education and particularly improving the provision for outdoor learning.
“The 75th anniversary celebrations are shaping up to be a wonderful opportunity to bring the school community together and celebrate the schools’ history as well as raising money to improve the children’s learning experience,” explained Miss Louisa Sellars, Executive Headteacher. “We’re really fortunate to have our wonderful PTA to work with, who have even organised and created our very own special fundraising thermometer!”
There will be a number of different events to raise money, including a special ’75 miles for 75 years’ bike ride, organised (and ridden!) by members of the school community, including teachers!
