Open Day at Bradford on Avon Lock-up

An opportunity to explore the former prison cells. Originally built as a 13th-century chapel, the building was later converted into the
town’s lock up, also known as a blind house where prisoners and those arrested for drunkenness were held there overnight before
appearing before the local magistrate. Volunteers will be available on hand to guide and share stories about its past.
