Ludi Florales at the Roman Baths

Celebrate a special Roman spring festival and create a flower garland to wear.  Festivals in ancient Rome were a very important part of Roman life; one of the primary features of the Roman calendar. Throughout the year, special activities took place such as decorations, meals or games.

There will also be Mission Floralia, a new family trail inspired by Floralia, the Roman festival of flowers, crops and new life (23-31 May). Children will become festival helpers on a mission to bring Floralia to life. Along the way, they’ll hunt for hidden flowers, play Roman games, craft colourful creations, entertain the crowds and even meet Goddess Flora beside the Great Bath. Once their mission is complete, they will be rewarded with a packet of sunflower seeds to take home.
