Kingswood celebrates trio of national award successes

Kingswood School in Bath has received national recognition from The Telegraph, Independent School Parent and Talk Education.

Kingswood School in Bath is celebrating three national award successes, with recognition from The Telegraph, Independent School Parent and Talk Education.

The Telegraph has recognised Kingswood for its value for money, awarding the school a ‘Very Good’ rating, the highest category in its latest analysis of independent schools. The guide compares independent schools across the UK using factors including academic results, fees and facilities, with Kingswood among a small group to achieve the top ‘Very Good’ rating.

Andrew Gordon-Brown, Headmaster of Kingswood, said, “It’s particularly pleasing to see Kingswood recognised by The Telegraph in this way, and to know that what we offer is delivering real value for families. At a time when families are facing difficult choices and the independent schools’ sector is under real pressure, providing a strong education alongside good value is more important than ever.”

Kingswood has also been commended in the Co-educational Independent School of the Year category at the 2026 Independent Schools of the Year Awards. Run by Independent School Parent, the annual awards recognise achievements across the independent schools sector in 25 different categories.

The Bath school’s third recent success came from Talk Education, which shortlisted Kingswood for an Award for Innovation in Education in the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion category.

The recognition followed an 18-month programme at the school reviewing policies and curriculum content, delivering staff training and working with pupils through pupil-led groups, events and initiatives.
