Bath Carpets and Flooring is celebrating its fourth year as a sponsor of the Theatre Royal Bath’s pantomime, with this year’s support centred on a special donation of 15 tickets to Roundhill Primary School.

The family-run business, owned by Steve and Debbie White, chooses a different school or community group each year to receive the tickets as part of its sponsorship. Previous recipients have included Three Ways School, St Martin’s Garden Primary School and St Michael’s School.

This year Steve and Debbie selected Roundhill Primary School, a choice that feels particularly meaningful as Debbie attended the school when it was known as Southdown Infants and Junior School.

A visit to the school took place on Friday 28 November, when the team met headteacher Emma Cooper to explore how the tickets could help raise funds for the PTA through a raffle that will give all families the chance to take part.

Emma said, “Roundhill Primary School is delighted to extend a heartfelt thank you to Bath Contract Flooring for their generous donation of 15 tickets to the pantomime at the Theatre Royal Bath,” adding that the gift will support a “fantastic festive experience” while raising money for school projects.

She added, “We are extremely grateful for Bath Carpets and Flooring’s kindness and community spirit. Their support helps us continue creating memorable experiences for our families while strengthening the work of our PTA.”

Bath Carpets and Flooring’s involvement with the pantomime began in 2022, when Steve and Debbie first supported Aladdin and enjoyed what they describe as their own “magic carpet ride”. Their enthusiasm for the show has seen them continue their sponsorship through Sleeping Beauty, Snow White and now The Further Adventures of Peter Pan.

Each November the shop window is transformed to match the year’s panto theme, often accompanied by a ticket giveaway competition for families. Details of this year’s competition can be found on the company’s Facebook and Instagram pages.

Steve, Debbie and their family will also be attending the pantomime this year and say they are most looking forward to spending time together and enjoying the festive atmosphere.
