Families can experience the American Museum & Gardens after dark this Halloween as a brand-new illuminated trail transforms its historic Bath estate with lights, eerie encounters and seasonal surprises.
Halloween at the American Museum & Gardens: Enchanted Nights of Lights and Frights will run from Friday 16 October to Sunday 1 November, offering visitors the chance to explore selected areas of the gardens after nightfall for the first time. As darkness falls, familiar paths around the Claverton Manor estate will take on a new atmosphere, with glowing installations, shifting shadows and playful Halloween surprises appearing among the trees.
The experience has been created especially for the Museum’s historic hillside setting, combining Halloween fun with atmospheric lighting and the autumn colours of the gardens.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to experience parts of Claverton Manor after dark, with selected rooms illuminated by candlelight. Historic spaces and collections will take on a more mysterious feel as families explore the Manor House in a very different setting.

We wanted to create something atmospheric and beautiful, but also fun and memorable, making the most of our extraordinary setting after dark while offering families and visitors a new seasonal experience for Bath.
“From the illuminated gardens to candlelit rooms in the Manor House, it promises to be a very special autumn evening.”
Seasonal food and drink will also be available throughout the evening, with American-inspired favourites and Halloween treats including backyard dogs, dirty mac and cheese, toffee apples made using apples grown at the Museum, themed cakes and brownies, blood slushies, mulled wine and hot chocolate.

Times: 5.30pm to 8.30pm, with bookable entry slots every 15 minutes between 5.30pm and 7.30pm
Tickets: Adults £12, children £8.50, students £10, two-adult family £32.50 and one-adult family £20.50
