Families in and around Calne are invited to join a new series of fun, friendly sessions as St Margaret’s Prep launches its latest baby and toddler mornings next term.
Running on Fridays from 9.30am to 10.30am, the sessions are designed for parents, carers and grandparents with children aged 0–4, offering a welcoming space for little ones to play, explore and build confidence.
Each week brings a different theme, giving families the chance to enjoy a variety of activities together in the school’s nurturing environment.
The programme begins on Friday 24 April with Music Rhyme Time, a lively sing-along featuring favourite nursery rhymes alongside simple instrument-making.
On Friday 1 May, Water Fun invites children to explore outdoor water-play stations and take part in gentle ‘sink or float’ science activities in the nursery courtyard.
Friday 8 May celebrates Springtime, with themed stories followed by creative leaf-printing in the Woodland Garden, weather permitting.
The series concludes on Friday 15 May with Mini Movers, an energetic outdoor session focused on simple ball skills, supported by the school’s sports staff.
Mrs Heal, Nursery Manager, said, “We’ve been running these fantastic sessions since September and they’ve proved hugely popular with local families. It’s such a joy watching the children grow in confidence each week as they explore and play together.”
The sessions are a great opportunity for families to meet others locally while giving young children a gentle introduction to early years learning through play.
