SUMMARY:Junior Bird Keeper Experience at Bird of Prey Project
DESCRIPTION:A hands-on workshop designed for those interested in birds and want to learn what life is really like behind the scenes at The Bird of Prey Project. Work alongside the experienced bird keepers and take part in genuine day-to-day keeper tasks. Learn all about the birds who live at the centre and how they are looked after in a safe\, supportive\, and inspiring environment. During this experience\, the Junior Bird Keepers will fly a bird of prey under expert supervision\, help clean and prepare an aviary\, create enrichment parcels and deliver it to one of our birds\, learning how to encourage natural behaviours\, learn about bird care\, diets\, training\, and welfare\, ask questions and hear first-hand what it’s like to work with birds of prey. \nBooking is essential as places limited; suitable for ages 6-12 years. All equipment\, snack and drink provided. Please wear warm clothing and waterproofs. Tickets include entry to the centre (plus accompanying adult) to the centre for the day.
