Bath College has announced a new partnership with Bath Cougars Netball Club as it launches a Netball Academy within its growing Sport Academy programme.
The initiative begins this month and offers 16–19-year-olds the chance to develop elite sporting skills while continuing full-time study.
Students will have access to professional coaching, strength and conditioning, and dedicated training time within the weekly timetable. The partnership aims to support talented young players who want to pursue pathways into semi-professional and professional sport.
High quality netball coaching opportunities
James Moon, Lead Coach at Bath College, said, “We are committed to creating high-quality coaching opportunities with strong educational support. Working alongside the Bath Cougars allows us to provide an environment where student-athletes can develop both on and off the court.”
He added, “Together, we aim to deliver a programme that challenges players, supports their growth, and opens pathways for future success.”
Emma Isaac, Chair of Bath Cougars, said, “Bath Cougars Netball Club are thrilled to begin this exciting new partnership with Bath College. We are extremely proud to be recognised alongside other clubs that have successfully partnered with the college and are excited about what the future holds.”
She added, “Our commitment is to combine resources to deliver high-quality coaching and create an environment that supports and challenges players.”
